{"id":1008,"date":"2010-07-25T11:46:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-25T15:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=1008"},"modified":"2010-07-25T11:46:00","modified_gmt":"2010-07-25T15:46:00","slug":"downtown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=1008","title":{"rendered":"Downtown&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">I had the greatest day with my family yesterday. &nbsp;In downtown Toronto, there was an Indian festival. &nbsp;Despite the rainy day, we packed the kiddies in and were off. &nbsp;Of course there was the usual bickering but for the most part the boys were great. &nbsp;The food was yummy&#8230; Dosi&#8230; one of my most favourite Indian dishes was being made there.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_ESvCH9ghcAI\/TExiAwrw8BI\/AAAAAAAADfg\/e0VbzDGmvSI\/s1600\/2090625svopen.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"213\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_ESvCH9ghcAI\/TExiAwrw8BI\/AAAAAAAADfg\/e0VbzDGmvSI\/s320\/2090625svopen.jpg\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: inherit;\"><b>Dosas<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\"> <\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">are like super thin sourdough crepes. &nbsp;Often they will be filled with potatoes curried. &nbsp;I love the just plain! &nbsp;They are ginormous when bought at a restaurant, though I could easily eat 3-4 for of them as they are so thin and light. &nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px; text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_ESvCH9ghcAI\/TExnEKrpSGI\/AAAAAAAADfs\/1CBNHZQZ6bQ\/s1600\/free-mehndi-designs-2.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"200\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_ESvCH9ghcAI\/TExnEKrpSGI\/AAAAAAAADfs\/1CBNHZQZ6bQ\/s200\/free-mehndi-designs-2.jpg\" width=\"168\" \/><\/a><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">It is usually served with a spicy chutney such as coconut or tomato and a lentil. &nbsp;Absolutely delicious! &nbsp;My mom usually makes this while she is visiting. &nbsp;I love seeing my boys loving foods from all cultures<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px; text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\" id=\"SPELLING_ERROR_6\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px; text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">This was worth the trip downtown in the rain itself. :)There were Indian rappers performing and unfortunately as it began to rain harder. &nbsp;We headed into the building that had various exhibits and beautiful outfits. &nbsp;Oh, if I had a little girl&#8230; &nbsp;A few of the boys got &nbsp;mehndi, which is an application of henna ( a flowering plant) to make temporary tattoos, often done during weddings and festivals. &nbsp;The boys had a train, elephant and turtle done.&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">What was as fun was the ride home. &nbsp;The boys must have been filled with the sillies. &nbsp;They were laughing, singing and dancing to the radio. &nbsp;The conversations were hilarious. &nbsp;At one point, one of them was complaining about something trivial and I said, &#8220;<i>Get over it, life isn&#8217;t fair. &nbsp;I got 6 crazy BOYS!&#8221; &nbsp;<\/i><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">Tyler then chirps in, &#8220;<i>Well you shouldn&#8217;t have done that &#8220;thing&#8221; you have to do 6 times or how many ever times more you did it.<\/i>&#8220;<\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">Sanj goes into shock as he looks at me in the mirror. &nbsp;I said, <i>&#8220;Don&#8217;t worry, Tyler, we do it every night so stay out!!!&#8221; <\/i>&nbsp;lol &nbsp;This is followed by shrieking &nbsp;from the older ones and laughing from the younger ones, even though they had no idea what they were laughing about.<\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">The older boys are intrigued with shaving. &nbsp;Sammy has shaved a few times and one day comes to me and says, &#8220;<i>Feel this&#8230;<\/i>&#8221; &nbsp;I felt nothing. &nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">&#8220;<i>Come closer<\/i>,&#8221; he says, &#8220;<i>feel my stubble<\/i>!&#8221; &nbsp;Too cute! &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">So, Tyler decided to shave &nbsp;not to long ago. &nbsp;He had some peach fuzz on the sides of his cheeks.
