{"id":1559,"date":"2011-02-14T08:15:55","date_gmt":"2011-02-14T13:15:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=1559"},"modified":"2011-02-14T08:21:15","modified_gmt":"2011-02-14T13:21:15","slug":"mean-girls-alive-and-well","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=1559","title":{"rendered":"Mean Girls Alive and Well&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Last night Sanj&#8217;s hockey team played their last game at the Memorial Center (the arena where the Peterborough Petes play). \u00a0So we all went to watch and cheer him on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Part of the reason to go is to watch the game, obviously. \u00a0 The other part is the socializing. \u00a0The boys, especially the younger ones, love seeing their friends and running around enjoying the freedom of having the whole arena to explore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Did you see the movie <em>Mean Girls<\/em>? \u00a0Even if you haven&#8217;t, if you are a female, you likely know what the movie is about, right?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Girls can be so MEAN! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Unknown.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1560\" title=\"Unknown\" src=\"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/Unknown.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"78\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Why is that?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I was sitting with my friends&#8230; and noticed a girl crying.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">There was pure pain and sadness in her eyes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The MEAN girls were at it again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They were being exclusive. \u00a0They were being cruel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They were being hurtful. \u00a0They were being ugly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They were being MEAN girls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What makes some girls so MEAN?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Why are some so hurtful?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It broke my hurt watching this. \u00a0I felt this child&#8217;s pain. \u00a0 I wanted to go to the MEAN girls and intervene. \u00a0I wanted to parent them&#8230; as they&#8217;re own parents were oblivious.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It broke my heart watching this child&#8217;s heart ache. \u00a0It made me sad knowing that this cut deeper than deep. \u00a0The scar would remain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We all know about MEAN girls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">One of my boys liked a MEAN girl. \u00a0I don&#8217;t think he saw this in her. \u00a0(That scared me a little). \u00a0I saw her being really MEAN, over and over again. \u00a0I never forgot that. \u00a0I remember going over to her and her little friends saying, &#8220;That isn&#8217;t nice, what you are doing.&#8221; \u00a0 Maybe she learned that behavior. \u00a0Maybe she was born with it. \u00a0It scared me that my son didn&#8217;t see that in her. \u00a0It scared me that these girls know how to work it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">MEAN \u00a0girls&#8230; they don&#8217;t seem to stop being breed. \u00a0 Every generation seems to have them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Maybe we have to look at ourselves. \u00a0 We have to stop the MEAN in us before we can stop the MEAN in them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>It&#8217;s time that NICE girls rule.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Don&#8217;t you think?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I hope my boys will only bring home NICE girls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Please&#8230; Jesus!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night Sanj&#8217;s hockey team played their last game at the Memorial Center (the arena where the Peterborough Petes play). \u00a0So we all went to watch and cheer him on.
