Remember that show&#8230;\u00a0<em>Charles in Charge?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Do you forget who&#8217;s in charge?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If you believe that God is in charge, life&#8217;s journey should be easier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Yet, if you are like me&#8230; I often forget that to let go of the reins.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This was my life &#8230; for much of my childhood&#8230; I waited for that big life changing miracle&#8230; for my dad to become normal, my mom to become stronger and our home to be a happy one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">That never happened. \u00a0Instead, my dad lives <em>his<\/em> normal&#8230; not my normal but it doesn&#8217;t impact my daily life. \u00a0My mom became stronger in her own way. \u00a0Our home broke apart&#8230; and yet I found happiness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">While I begged God, during my childhood for us to be a happy family, He showed me how to learn from a painful childhood and still find happiness in my world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I have to stop giving God specifics&#8230; of things I want. \u00a0Simply put&#8230; His Way&#8230; is ALWAYS better!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Max Lucado says,\u00a0\u201c<em>It all works out in the end. If it hasn\u2019t worked out yet, then it\u2019s not the end.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I love this! \u00a0God has it all worked out. \u00a0I just need to trust and obey. \u00a0I just need to choose that God has my back. \u00a0I have to believe that His way is always much more fantastic then anything I could every dream of.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Crappy childhood? \u00a0Yes, it really does suck. \u00a0It has a lifelong impact &#8230; and yet that may not always be a bad thing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I&#8217;ve learned so much from my childhood. \u00a0I believe that I am definitely a stronger, wiser, compassionate, empathic adult&#8230; having lived through a sad, abusive, sometimes scary childhood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">My challenge as a parent is to help my kids become all those things as a adult&#8230; without the drama and trauma of a crazy childhood.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>God&#8217;s in charge&#8230; What a great show that would be!
