Yesterday was a day I was in teen hell. \u00a0It only takes one over wrought, irrational, overflowing with crazy hormones to feel like the world, or his parents, for that matter that, has ganged up on him. \u00a0 Life is so hard. \u00a0Do you think it’s harder for teens now verses back in the 80s?<\/p>\n

\"PhotoSo here’s the line that was screamed at me during one of the shouting matches\u2026 \u00a0“You are so 2-faced. \u00a0If Aunty Christine was here, bet you wouldn’t act like this\u2026 you’d be all nice.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Darn right! Aunty Christine or most of my other ADULT friends don’t drive me to the brinks of insanity and back.<\/p>\n

Sometimes during these “episodes” I feel like I am a lot younger than my true age. \u00a0And sometimes I feel a lot older. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

I know every one has different sides to them. \u00a0I am so 2-faced. \u00a0I mean I could be ranting at my children and then someone comes to the truck window and immediately I HAVE to change me face, right? \u00a0I have to paste a smile and chatter\u2026 or otherwise I would have to share the woes that are overwhelming me at that moment.<\/p>\n

OK\u2026 so here’s the thing\u2026 I am 2-faced. \u00a0I have my happy, life is fine face. \u00a0And usually if I am really in this mode\u2026 you’ll feel my vibes. \u00a0I’m not a very subtle person. \u00a0My emotions are usually all over my face. \u00a0If I am not happy, you will know. \u00a0I may choose to share my thoughts or maybe not. \u00a0Yet you will know that I am not happy or sad or frustrated or\u2026<\/p>\n

I love my boys so much. \u00a0I love them so much sometimes it actually hurts, that love I feel for them. \u00a0I hate saying no to them\u2026 as was the case in this episode. \u00a0I really want to give them the world. \u00a0I feel like Sanj and I do a good job for loving them and meeting their needs \u00a0The boys will even say they are spoiled. \u00a0So when there is a NO- there’s a good
\n<\/a>reason.<\/p>\n

When you continue to question me, I am going to lose it. \u00a0I do get ugly. \u00a0I do yell. \u00a0I have even screamed. \u00a0It’s not pleasant. \u00a0I hate when I get that worked up. \u00a0And yet sometimes, due to the fact that I am human- gasp- \u00a0I lose it. \u00a0I have a \u00a0very ugly side. \u00a0I hate that my boys see that side at times.<\/p>\n

To my sons,<\/em><\/p>\n

I am a 2-faced person. \u00a0I agree. \u00a0And I am sorry. \u00a0I try hard to be \u00a0what I expect from you but \u00a0I know I fall short. \u00a0Please forgive me. \u00a0The reality is I adore you. \u00a0You are part of my heart. \u00a0You have such power to break it. \u00a0I wish I could treat you like I do others outside our home all the time. Never doubt my love or my craziness. \u00a0Sadly for you, it’s all often intertwined.<\/em><\/p>\n
