There is not much that I can afford as a lot of it is for those that utilities a professional kitchen. <\/p>\n<p>With 7 males to feed, it is not like I can&#8217;t use one of those kind of kitchens&#8230; just there is always my Wish List.<\/p>\n<p>As I wandered through looking at this and that&#8230; I was taken by the knives.  Do you ever watch those cooking shows&#8230; that skill of chop, chop, chop without a finger being added to the mix has always impressed me.  I have a fear of sharp objects&#8230; you know when you nick your finger&#8230; even just a paper cut that sharp pain&#8230; fear has made me respect objects that can cause such pain.<\/p>\n<p>The knives I have a duller than dull.  Thus it makes cutting and chopping a chore.<br \/>I replace the knives with other cheap knives and the cycle continues.<\/p>\n<p>So&#8230; I decided to use the gift card on a knife.  Wow&#8230; have you seen the prices of knives?  Have you seen how the climb rather quickly?  <\/p>\n<p>So&#8230; I got myself a MAC&#8230; sharp&#8230; super sharp.  <\/p>\n<p>I took it out of its box and used to today for supper.  Wow.   What a difference.  Of course I am still very tentative but it gets the job done!  It does the job very well.<\/p>\n<p>So my tip for the day is get a GOOD knife.  It is an investment.  And then&#8230; take care of it.  Don&#8217;t put it in the dishwasher or use dishwashing soap to keep it in ideal condition. <\/p>\n<p>A great gift idea.  My mom and mother-in-law would love a great knife.
