Today my girlfriend came up from Toronto. \u00a0 We have known each other since my early days of marriage. \u00a0Our husbands played football together and we would hang out whenever we had the chance.<\/p>\n

Her kids are in their 20s. \u00a0We are living in two very different worlds. \u00a0 She called me once and said she was bored. \u00a0I was so upset. \u00a0“Don’t call a mom of 6 boys and tell her your woes of being bored!”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It is a joke between us. \u00a0Do you have a friendship that is just easy? \u00a0It isn’t any work? \u00a0We are together and it is just relaxing. \u00a0We call when we call and we see each other when we see each other.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She stepped into my reality for a few hours. \u00a0I am sure she is going to go home tonight and enjoy her reality… quiet and bored doesn’t seem so bad! lol<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She was shocked at the boyness of my boys. \u00a0We went to a creek so the boys would be occupied and we could hang out. \u00a0Yet I am not sure she really relaxed. \u00a0She is not used to boys wading into a creek looking for critters… \u00a0Yet she was fearfully curious… when the boys caught the crayfish, frog and even a fish.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The boys were very comfortable with her presence quickly and had no qualms of being there usual self of fighting for seats and nets.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Our reality is very different. \u00a0Our lives are very different. \u00a0I love her honestness and approach to life. \u00a0I love her realness.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I am glad that she thought our new house is closer… or felt much closer… maybe she will come down more often. \u00a0Or maybe I’ll escape to her reality for a break!<\/div>\n
