So… tonight is the big night! <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Indian Dinner… A Taste of India! \u00a0Yesterday was spent transforming the gym into a Little India. \u00a0 \u00a0Wow… \u00a0Well, to be honest that is what stresses me out, I WANT people to be Wowed! \u00a0When you spend $40 a person, to have dinner in a gym… you want people to feel like it was worth it.<\/p>\n

I had \u00a0bit of a meltdown Thursday, when the forms that went out to ask for help didn’t bring in the needed help. \u00a0I was overwhelmed. \u00a0I am sure my little surgery added to my stress. \u00a0I alway react emotionally after anesthetic. \u00a0Yet after making phones… HELP did show up. \u00a0I am so grateful to all that came out and lent a hand. \u00a0My buddy and pal, Mr. S was there with the 7-8 class to help set up tables and chairs… \u00a0 it all came together.<\/p>\n

The room was full of creativity… and so magic happened. \u00a0I can’t wait to post pictures!<\/p>\n

Today is cooking day. \u00a0My mom is doing the rice and a veggie dish… the other family is doing the aloo gobi \u00a0(cauliflower and potato curry) and the 3rd family is doing dessert. \u00a0The men are going to Scarborough to pick up the butter chicken and samosas.<\/p>\n

Then this afternoon it is time to bring it all together. \u00a0Making the raita (a yogart salad with tomatoes, cucumbers and onions), picking up the centerpieces… (Ooohh… they are going to be lovely…), warming up the food, naan… OK, is this making you hungry?<\/p>\n

It is 8:20 a.m. \u00a0Today my boys were all up (except Sammy) by 7 a.m. \u00a0Really?<\/p>\n

I often talk about my God and me. \u00a0I often talk about how much I love Him. \u00a0I have also talked about how I wish I could hear<\/em> Him better. \u00a0I have written about my moments of doubt… just moments. \u00a0Here’s how God filled me yesterday…<\/p>\n

When we started this, we printed 150 tickets. \u00a0I prayed for 100 people. \u00a0I believed. \u00a0I felt it in my heart that God would honor this request… as He knew my heart’s desire… (which is to have the boys bathroom completed by back to school the new year).<\/p>\n

I have to admit… I was really doubting and a little panicked mid-week. \u00a0I needed to make enough to cover the cost of the bathroom stalls and then some… \u00a0plus … I will admit, pride was playing a part. \u00a0I didn’t want to look foolish.<\/p>\n

As I started to really count the numbers, added up the donations, I felt my heart pound. \u00a0I felt a warm hug from God… OK.. not literally but I felt warm… \u00a0I couldn’t believe that the numbers were actually higher than I thought. \u00a0I felt God’s goodness and mercy. \u00a0I felt God remind me that He DOES care about the little things such as a bathroom reno.<\/p>\n

So, I am going out on a limb. \u00a0I am praying for a bit more. \u00a0Is that greedy? \u00a0I had a 100 takeout containers \u00a0(thank you, East Side Marios and Montanas)… \u00a0I hope to sell 100 takeout … to use up the leftovers. \u00a0$10 \u00a0… Butter chicken and rice… its’ a steal…<\/p>\n

If this does work… I will be able to buy the girls bathroom stalls too!<\/p>\n

So.. Dear Jesus,<\/p>\n

Thank you so much for blessing us! \u00a0Thank you for caring for the little things. \u00a0If I can be so bold to ask… I am asking for that extra bit…<\/p>\n

Thank you ahead of time for making this an amazing night!<\/p>\n
