{"id":922,"date":"2010-03-10T18:06:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-10T23:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=922"},"modified":"2010-03-10T18:06:00","modified_gmt":"2010-03-10T23:06:00","slug":"parents-and-know-it-alls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=922","title":{"rendered":"Parents&#8230; and Know It Alls&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_ESvCH9ghcAI\/S5goU96gnBI\/AAAAAAAADFM\/ux0wldeMSaE\/s1600-h\/DSC_0189.JPG\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"378\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_ESvCH9ghcAI\/S5goU96gnBI\/AAAAAAAADFM\/ux0wldeMSaE\/s640\/DSC_0189.JPG\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I always have something to say&#8230; but I think I have stumbled and a true case of writer&#8217;s block! &nbsp;Scary! &nbsp;What if all my thoughts keep running away? &nbsp;\ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, I just have to hang out with my husband a few minutes and he usually gives me plenty of material to write about. &nbsp;In fear for my marriage, I have to pick and choose what is acceptable to &nbsp;<span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">complain &nbsp;<\/span>write about!<\/p>\n<p>One of the most annoying things about Sanj is his <i>know it all <\/i>attitude. &nbsp;He does not know it all. &nbsp;Yet, if he has an opinion, it is right. &nbsp;Well, so he thinks. &nbsp;I have very rarely seen him sway from a belief. &nbsp;Do you know how annoying that is?<\/p>\n<p>Even as he was reading this (for his approval of sorts) he suggested that &nbsp;instead of saying &#8220;when he has an opinion, he is right.&#8221; that I should write &nbsp;&#8220;when he has an opinion, he is <i><b>compelled<\/b><\/i> by it&#8230;&#8221; &nbsp;See&#8230; he has something to say about EVERYTHING, even what I write about!<\/p>\n<p>Today, as I was complaining about my writer&#8217;s block, he said, &#8220;I have a topic you can write on.&#8221; &nbsp;He proceeded to suggest that I write about <i>How<\/i><i> well does one really know their parent?<\/i><br \/><i><br \/><\/i><br \/>He was saying that &nbsp;we really don&#8217;t know our parents as people, only as parents. &nbsp;I disagree. &nbsp;I think that I know my mom as a person and as a parent. &nbsp;I have spent a lifetime watching her as a person, interacting with people, knowing by her behaviour that she feels safe with a person or not. &nbsp;I know her when she is in the role of a nurse. &nbsp;I know her when she is tired, irritated, stressed and sad. &nbsp;I know when she is happy and excited. &nbsp;I know when she is angry or dislikes someone.<\/p>\n<p>I know my mom. &nbsp;Of course there are qualities that pop up that often surprise me but then again, as human &nbsp;being we change.
