I love being taken away to someone else&#8217;s world even if it is in small bits at a time.<br \/><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Water for Elephants<span style=\"font-style:italic;\"><\/span><\/span> by Sara Gruen was a book recommended by the lady at the book store.  I was a little  skeptical initially but once I started I really felt taken to a whole different world.<\/p>\n<p>It is a book about Jacob, and though he may not speak of them, the memories still dwell inside Jacob Jankowski&#8217;s ninety-something-year-old mind. Memories of himself as a young man, tossed by fate onto a rickety train that was home to the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. Memories of a world filled with freaks and clowns, with wonder and pain and anger and passion; a world with its own narrow, irrational rules, its own way of life, and its own way of death. The world of the circus: to Jacob it was both salvation and a living hell.<\/p>\n<p>A good read!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love reading a good book.
