{"id":2662,"date":"2012-02-06T20:37:35","date_gmt":"2012-02-07T01:37:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=2662"},"modified":"2012-02-06T21:25:57","modified_gmt":"2012-02-07T02:25:57","slug":"the-weather-outside-is-delightful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/?p=2662","title":{"rendered":"The Weather Outside is Delightful!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Today was so gorgeous!!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/new_sun.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"new_sun\" src=\"http:\/\/livinglovingbreathingboys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/new_sun.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"372\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The sun just beamed down on us and kept us smiling and warm. \u00a0I love days like today&#8230; it&#8217;s a tease that spring is around the corner. \u00a0I had so many things that I needed to do and yet felt like I accomplished very little&#8230; but because it was so beautiful outside, I didn&#8217;t care. \u00a0There&#8217;s always tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We were driving to school and Zach and Josh were playing Rock, Paper, Scissors&#8230; and then I hear &#8220;Jesus!&#8221; lol \u00a0Guess Jesus trumps rocks, paper and scissors! \u00a0When that didn&#8217;t work, I heard Josh say, &#8220;God!&#8221; \u00a0I wonder how Jesus feels being trumped by God? \u00a0Zach didn&#8217;t let Josh have it though, saying they are the same!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I love some of the stuff that comes out of their mouth and puts a smile on my face. \u00a0So cute!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As I was de-cluttering areas of the house, I was beginning to make a list of things that need to be done. \u00a0We plan on remodeling our kitchen sometime&#8230; with the plan of adding a huge slab of counter \u00a0for all the activity that needs to occur in this vicinity. \u00a0You know, breakfast, snacks, homework, projects&#8230; the hub of the house. \u00a0I can&#8217;t wait. \u00a0I just want us to have that space. \u00a0The rest I&#8217;m willing to wait on (gasp!). \u00a0I am constantly revamping the boys rooms to make them functional for our family. \u00a0No one really uses their rooms as their own spot, well, perhaps Jordan. \u00a0Rather the boys seem to hang out with us or each other (and then fight). \u00a0So, I am eagerly looking forward to making this all happen. \u00a0Guess I&#8217;d better check my lotto ticket. \u00a0I think it was $50 million.. and yes, I can imagine the freedom! lol \u00a0Sanj came home today to our friend who owns<a href=\"http:\/\/www.focusflooringcentre.com\/\">\u00a0Focus Flooring<\/a>\u00a0(they have the most amazing backsplash, tiles, flooring&#8230; check them out if you are local&#8230; and say I sent you!)&#8230; anyways, Doug was over measuring and Sanj walks in and says&#8230; &#8220;Nooooooo&#8230;&#8221; knowing this is the beginning of some craziness for sure! lol<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Max and Jordan had to wake up at 5 am today to be at the school by 6 am for a hockey tournament out of town. Yuck. \u00a0Everyone is tired. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t get back to sleep too well after that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Just writing&#8230; nothing to exciting to say&#8230; although I had an epiphany about my dad. \u00a0I realized that he made a great Mr. Mom. \u00a0He really did. \u00a0While I wish he could have held a regular job, I see some of the blessings. \u00a0I learned a lot about my dad while in India, that I have been processing. \u00a0 I know that my mom isn&#8217;t the most organized person. \u00a0I think that living with my mom was likely trying for my dad&#8217;s personality. \u00a0Of course, he didn&#8217;t have to beat her. \u00a0As I get older and and see things, I can see how they were just so wrong for each other on so many levels. \u00a0My mom really needed someone laid back. \u00a0My dad wasn&#8217;t. \u00a0He liked order and practicality. \u00a0He didn&#8217;t get my mom&#8217;s lack of having organizational skills. \u00a0I don&#8217;t think that he understood how someone just couldn&#8217;t be organized. \u00a0As a grown adult, when I run into this now, I find it frustrating. \u00a0I find myself understanding my dad&#8217;s frustration more. \u00a0I just wish he knew how to channel that aggravation else where.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even know, when my mom is doing something and I get frustrated she&#8217;ll hold her ground and say, &#8220;Let me do it my way.&#8221; \u00a0In other words, butt out! lol<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Funny, the little things that suddenly seem big. \u00a0Having my dad as a stay at home dad gave us some unique experiences. \u00a0When he was in a normal frame of mind, he was fun. \u00a0He would take sheets and make us these crazy forts that would have my heart palpitating just at the thought of my kids doing this. \u00a0He would make cleaning the kitchen floor and event. \u00a0(Sorry if I am repeating stories). \u00a0I have such a clear memory of sliding across the kitchen floor that was very wet and full of suds. \u00a0He always packed us elaborate lunches, with cut mangos (yum), for example as a snack. \u00a0He cuts of mangoes were unique. \u00a0They were all so uniformed in size.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I have been thinking of calling my dad to chat about my trip to India. \u00a0I haven&#8217;t yet. \u00a0I wish it felt easier than it does. \u00a0I wish&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was so gorgeous!!!
