It’s the weekend!!! \u00a0My favorite part of the week. \u00a0Today we slept in (well all except Josh, who woke up and told me he was too sick for school today- and I said ok). \u00a0Some of the boys came and crashed in our bed and we watched a movie. \u00a0Then everyone dispersed \u00a0and found breakfast.<\/p>\n

The hockey game is on -for bronze on the Olympics – its US (who lost to Canada yesterday) vs Finland. \u00a0I love watching this kinda hockey. \u00a0It’s a few day, it’s exciting and then it ends. \u00a0Yesterday was a crazy day as Team Canada won over US. \u00a0I think it matters more to Canadians. Life seemed to literally stop yesterday while the game was on. \u00a0Most schools had it on. \u00a0Offices were streaming it\u2026 it was a big deal.<\/p>\n

One of my younger boys \u00a0came home and told me that a girl in his class said he wasn’t Canadian because he was brown. \u00a0He explained that he was born here- in Peterborough and was as Canadian as her. \u00a0She said he wasn’t because he was not white.<\/p>\n

It’s funny how some of my boys have had to deal with the race issue at such a young age. \u00a0It’s frustrating and makes me mad because this foolishness usually starts coming from home.<\/p>\n

I saw this child \u00a0yesterday. \u00a0I wanted to hurt her. \u00a0 (I know, not very grown up of me). \u00a0Of course I didn’t. \u00a0Sanj wouldn’t let me. \u00a0lol Just kidding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
