Wow.  I can remember drinking castor oil with hopes that this being inside of me would begin the process of wanting to come out.  I was 4 days over due.  There was so much anticipation of this babe.  He was the first grandchild on both sides as well as first for the uncles.  Excitement!  Fear!  Joy! Love!<\/p>\n<p>Sammy was my world.  How I loved enjoying the FIRST of everything.  How I loved being mom to him.  I was so in love with him.  I hated handing him over to allow others (and there were plenty of others) to hold.  I could have held him forever.<\/p>\n<p>Lots of years later&#8230; I feel that same way.  I love this boy of mine.  He can make my day with a &#8220;I love you, Mom.&#8221;  He can rattle my world as I know the time is coming to let him grow into who he is meant to be.  I can only imagine the man he is sure to grow into&#8230; the lives of many he will continue to touch.<\/p>\n<p>So&#8230; as I remember those days so long ago&#8230; I can see the growth in both of us.  I thank God for this wonderful boy and the joy and love he has added to my life.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Birthday my sweet boy.
